Meet Alex. Alex is a member of our hardworking and talented dev team. We’re pleased to shine the employee spotlight on Alex this month because he’s been an amazing asset to TimeForge. Some of his work involves fine-tuning our machine learning algorithms so we can provide our customers with the most accurate sales forecasting out there. Keep reading to learn a bit more about Alex and what he does here at TimeForge.
What’s your name?
What do you do at TimeForge?
I wear all kinds of hats! I’m a data analyst, data engineer, data scientist, general junior developer, and I occasionally do some help with support!
How long have you been working with TimeForge?
I have been with TimeForge since April of 2019.
What’s your favorite part of working at TimeForge?
I love the fact that my role is so diverse. I have my fingers in most of the pies here at TimeForge, and each pie is a new learning opportunity and experience for me to grow.
How do you make the lives of TimeForge customers better?
Having so many hats, I get to be involved in everything from customer experience to design of the product. I like the fact that I can translate some customer frustrations into useful feedback and help build a better product for our customers. Also my efforts are helping bring compatibility to many more POS systems so that we can serve more and more people!
What was your first hourly job?
I worked in Construction for a private contractor over summers in high school.
What’s your favorite hobby?
I’m super interested in consumer PC hardware, and more importantly gaming! I can’t wait for the graphics card to come back into stock!
What’s your favorite sports team?
The Texas Longhorns, hook ‘em!
Do you have any pets?
I have a red golden retriever named Livi!
