Employee Health Screening Questionnaire for COVID-19

Did you know that TimeForge includes a built-in health screening questionnaire for COVID-19? When the questionnaire is enabled, 5 short questions are presented to employees when they attempt to clock into TimeForge through their browser. Keep reading to learn more about the health check and how it can help you protect your staff, your customers, and your business.

What is the purpose of the health screening?

The health check is intended to help managers and staff prevent the spread of COVID-19 by identifying potential COVID risks and hazards early. It is similar to the Facilities COVID-19 Screening used by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

What are the screening questions asked during clock-in?

The following questions are part of TimeForge’s built-in health check:

  • Do you have any of these symptoms?
    Fever or feeling feverish (chills, sweating)
    New cough
    Difficulty breathing
    Sore throat
    Muscle aches or body aches
    Vomiting or diarrhea
    New loss of taste or smell
  • Are you under evaluation for COVID-19? (For example, waiting for the results of a viral test to confirm infection)
  • Have you had any contact with anyone that you know had COVID-19 or COVID-like symptoms?
  • Have you had a positive COVID-19 test for active virus in the past 14 days?
  • Within the past 14 days, has a public health or medical professional told you to self-monitor, self-isolate, or self-quarantine because of concerns about COVID-19 infection?

What happens if an employee answers “No” to all of the screening questions?

If the employee answers “No” to all of these questions, they will be clocked in normally and may begin work.

What happens if an employee answers “Yes” to any of the screening questions?

If an employee answers “Yes” to any of the screening questions, they are prevented from clocking in and beginning work. TimeForge will instead instruct the employee to wait for their manager. At the same time, TimeForge will send a message to the manager to let them know the employee is waiting.

How do I enable the health screening questionnaire for my business?

It’s easy! If you’re a current TimeForge customer, you’ll just need to toggle the COVID-19 Questionnaire option under your Company Settings.

What else can I do to help protect my employees and customers?

The health screening questionnaire works alongside our temperature check feature, which can be enabled on a per-location basis. If temperature checking is turned on for your location, employees will be prompted to answer whether their body temperature is over 100 F. If the employee answers “No,” TimeForge will present the remaining questions that are part of the health questionnaire. Should the employee answer “Yes,” they will be prevented from clocking in and beginning work.
