Never again worry about scheduling minors to work! TimeForge labor management includes an Age Rule module that tracks age-appropriate rules for all employees. Age rules can be minor rules and senior rules!
Why do age rules matter? In some states, minors can only work so many hours, for example. This may not be a problem in the summer months, when school is out and kids have time to fill. In January, however, when they’re busy studying for college entrance exams or applying to colleges themselves? Not so much. Some states require students to attend school a certain number of hours each week; if their hours are limited during the school year, it can be a problem.
In some states, there are limits on how late in the evening a minor may work. That doesn’t sound like much of a problem until you consider that many stores remain open well past dark.
Schedule labor with age rules, including minor rules and senior rules
The Age Rules include minimum and maximum hours per week or day, as well as times that employees are allowed to work. For example, weekends during the school year, and weekdays during summer or holiday breaks. TimeForge automatically determines when these employees can or cannot work based on the rules you define. Your management staff can set the rules one time, and not worry about it ever again!
How long does it take to make a labor schedule for your workforce? It should take less than 5 minutes! Did you know that TimeForge can streamline and minimize labor costs through effective employee scheduling at your restaurant, hotel, bank, school, bar, club, or retail business?
