Meet Don Salisbury. Don is a super smart guy who, like many of us here at TimeForge, wears a lot of hats. Most recently, he has been hard at work on our new Android-based timeclocks, which we’re currently piloting at a few locations. We’re really excited about the new Android-based clocks, and all the hard work Don has put into them, because they promise to be much more powerful and feature-rich than their successors. We’ll be promoting the new timeclocks soon, but in the meantime, we hope you’ll keep reading to learn a bit more about Don and what he does here at TimeForge!

What’s your name?
Don Salisbury.
What do you do at TimeForge?
I’m involved in various technical activities at TimeForge, including software design and development, architecture, DevOps, database maintenance, and other development related activities.
How long have you been working with TimeForge?
I have been with TimeForge for just over six years.
What’s your favorite part of working at TimeForge?
We have smart people working at TimeForge — I’m always learning something new. It’s great to share ideas and find innovative solutions for customers.
How do you make the lives of TimeForge customers better?
I find ways to make our customer’s experience better by improving how they interact with our app, including making things faster, more intuitive, and easier to navigate the variety of features in TimeForge.
What was your first hourly job?
Although not really an hourly job, I managed a small paper route when I was 14. I delivered the Dallas Morning News on my skateboard, which mostly worked out fine except when delivering the larger, heavier Sunday edition. It was a challenge.
What was your first restaurant or retail job?
After retiring my skateboard, I started working at a small grocery store in Anna, TX.
What’s your favorite hobby?
I enjoy anything related to computers and technology. I also play a lot of tennis.
What’s your favorite sports team?
I keep up with the Broncos and the Cowboys.
Do you have any pets?
I have two dogs – a Husky and a Westy.
